1) History of Llandudno
Llandudno is the largest seaside resort in Wales and has been a popular vacation destination since Victorian times. The town was first developed as a health spa by a Dr. William Henry Jones who discovered the benefits of its mild climate and warm seawater. Tourism became an important source of revenue for Llandudno in the 19th century and many hotels were built during this time including the Great Orme Hotel which opened in 1867.
2) Llandudno Pier
The pier sits at the bottom of the Great Orme headland and offers stunning views of Snowdonia National Park and across to Anglesey in one direction, and towards Puffin Island, Ireland on another side. There are also several rides including a small funfair with three carousels that children can enjoy. They also have regular shows and seasonal attractions.
